Repbar does not collect any data.

The camera

Repbar counts your repetitions with the front camera. This is what happens while counting is running:

iOS asks for your permission before the camera is used for the first time. You can withdraw it at any time in Settings → Repbar → Camera; the rest of the app, including logging sets by hand, keeps working without it.

What the app stores

Every set you log — the exercise, the number of repetitions and the time — is written to a database inside the app's own container on your iPhone. That is the only data the app creates.

What the app does not do

Where your data goes

Nowhere. It stays on your iPhone. Because the data lives in the app's container, it is included in an encrypted iPhone backup if you make one; Apple's backup terms apply to that copy, and we have no access to it.

Deleting your data

Neither action needs to reach a server, because nothing was ever sent to one.

Children

Repbar collects no data from anyone, including children.

Changes

If a future version of Repbar ever collects or transmits data, this policy and the App Store privacy details will be updated before that version ships.

Support

Questions, bug reports and feedback go to mail.decoded@gmx.at. There is no account and no login — just write, and include your iPhone model and iOS version if something is not working.

Counting is inaccurate

The counter follows your head and shoulders, so both need to be in the picture. Prop the iPhone so that your upper body stays in frame for the whole set. You can look left, right or down — that does not affect the count. If it still miscounts, write to the address above and say which exercise and how far off it was.

The camera does not start

Check Settings → Repbar → Camera. If access is off, the app says so and you can still add every set by hand.
